I am using FreePBX for the last 3 years. It&#8217;s simple, easy to use, and widely supported software. FreePBX is the leader in the IP PBX category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Problem :<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, sometimes it&#8217;s hard to find out a working solution when a problem comes once in a while. I am having this problem with its dashboard since I installed FreePBX 14. It just stuck on 75% when reload and took at least 60 sec to 180 sec to load.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"397\" src=\"https:\/\/oracle.itsupportwale.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/freepbx-dashboard-slow-load.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2957\" srcset=\"https:\/\/itsupportwale.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/freepbx-dashboard-slow-load.jpg 800w, https:\/\/itsupportwale.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/freepbx-dashboard-slow-load-300x149.jpg 300w, https:\/\/itsupportwale.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/freepbx-dashboard-slow-load-768x381.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>When I check-in console, <code>\/admin\/ajax.php?command=getcontent&amp;module=dashboard<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This URL is taking 60 sec to respond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I also checked in apache logs but nothing wrong is there. Also, I looked for the server load but it is normal and did not seem problematic. After all the checks and findings, I decided to roll back my changes one by one in reverse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Solution :<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After hours of searching on the internet and trying all the options, I came up with this. I changed the hostname of my server during installation. The hostname is not qualified and did not resolve that&#8217;s why the process taking such long time for running. For resolving this issue just put your current hostname in your <code>\/etc\/hosts<\/code> file and the issue will resolve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To know your current hostname run this command : <code>hostname<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Open the hosts file by running this command : <code>vim \/etc\/hosts<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>127.0.0.1 localhost currenthostname\n::1 localhost currenthostname<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>After putting the hostname in hosts file reload your network settings and that\u2019s it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In this article, we fixed the slow loading issue of FreePBX.
