mysql-community-server (= 8.0.12-1ubuntu18.04) but it is not going to be installed&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>sudo add-apt-repository universe\nsudo apt update\nsudo apt install libmecab2<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_31_Set_MySql_root_password\"><\/span>Step 3.1: Set MySql root password<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In the first step, you need to set up the root user password for MySql Server because the &#8220;root&#8221; is the default user for option &#8220;Strong Password Encryption&#8221; then the Old Authentication method will not work and your old Web Application did not work if you do not update them according to MySql 8 because the SQL Query for password authentication is changed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s why if you want to run a previously developed web application with MySql 8, I suggest the Second option &#8220;Legacy Authentication Method&#8221;.
