For example if your RAM  is 4GB than you should create a swap partition of 8GB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_4_Creating_ROOT_partition\"><\/span>Step 4: Creating ROOT partition<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The root partition is used for keeping kernel files, boot files,  system files and other system required files which are necessary for Operating System.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recommended size for the root partition is 20 to 30 GB for smooth working of Operating System. If you are going to install a lot of software than you should increase the size according to your needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For creating the root partition select the free space and click on &#8220;+&#8221; sign.
